CHENNAI, NOV. 6. Ten years in first class cricket has made 28-year-old Sridharan Sriram mature enough to understand the vagaries of the sport. Having been away from the limelight for almost four years, Sriram has been recalled into the Indian team. He is part of the 15-member squad scheduled to play a one-off ODI against Pakistan on November 13 in Kolkata. "It feels good. I've been waiting for this day for a long time. I am elated to be back in the team," said Sriram, on Saturday. He has represented India in six ODIs with the last match being against Zimbabwe at Rajkot in December 2000. Sriram also said he never thought that it would be possible to play for India especially when the team was doing so well against Pakistan in Pakistan in March this year. But he kept faith in his abilities and it has paid off. Last month, Sriram scored 125 for India `A' against the Indian Seniors team in Bangalore that made the selectors take notice of him once again. "I've gone through a lot of experiences. It has only made me mentally tough," said Sriram.
