The senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader, Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi, sustained minor injuries when the police trained water-jet on party workers who were protesting against the increase in the prices of petrol, diesel and cooking gas here today. Seven policemen also suffered minor injuries.

According to police, a large number of BJP supporters had gathered on Parliament Street where a nationwide agitation against the fuel price hike was launched.
