This Day That Age
Mr. Georgi Malenkov, the Soviet Prime Minister, took the salute on November 7 as 5,000 troops and two million civilians marched through the Red Square in Moscow to mark the 37th anniversary of the Bolshevik Revolution. Standing with the Premier on top of the Lenin-Stalin Mausoleum were Russia's Marshals, Generals and Admirals. The Prime Minister, his hat pulled down over his forehead, waved as the parade marched past. Members of the Government walked on to the mausoleum's balcony headed by President Klementi Voroshilov. Next came Mr. Nikita Khrushchev, First Secretary of the Soviet Communist Party, Mr. Malenkov, Mr. Vyacheslav Molotov, the Foreign Minister, Mr. Lazar Kaganovich, First Vice-Chairman of the Soviet Council of Ministers, and Mr. Anastas Mikoyan, Trade Minister.
