Letters to the Editor
Sir, The facts and circumstances clearly establish that the flip-flop by Zahira Sheikh, key witness in the Best Bakery case, is meant to please some vested interests. Time-bound disposal of cases alone can prevent the recurrence of such incidents. B.K. Gopalakrishnan, Ernakulam, Kerala Sir, The statement "the flip-flops have comprehensively eroded Ms. Sheikh's credibility as a witness and indicated the play of extraneous factors" ("Flip-flops and justice, Nov. 5) is amusing. If anything, it is the credibility of the media that is at stake. The media have blown the issue out of proportion. M. Rajendran, Chennai
