Two coal miners killed in mishap

ADILABAD,
NOV. 7.
Two coal fillers of the Ramakrishnapur V mine died early on Sunday as its roof caved in. Seven others were injured in the mishap. This was the second mishap in a span of five days in Singareni of Adilabad. On November 2, Shanigaram Ramulu died when an explosive went off at the Mandamarri mine.
According to the Srirampur Inspector Mogili, the dead were identified as S. Sattayya (40) and M. Ram Mohan Rao (35). Rescue teams swung into action and extricated the bodies. Of the injured, R. Rajaiah, coal filler, and D. Rajaiah, mining sardar, were taken to the NIMS in Hyderabad.
The other injured -- M. Vishnu Prasad, shot firer, K. Mallaiah, L. Rajaiah, B. Mallesh, all timbermen, and K. Shankar, coal filler -- were being treated at the Ramakrishnapur area hospital.
