MYSORE, NOV. 7. K. Avinash, an eighth standard student of Atomic Energy Central School, Yelwal, secured 4.5 points out of a possible five and clinched the title in the under-15 boys' and girls' lightning chess tournament conducted by the Mysore Chess Club at the Basudeva Somani FGC here on Sunday. Final Placings: (Lightning chess): 1. K. Avinash (4.5 pts); 2. Girish A Koushik (4 pts-18); 3. P.S. Sachin (4 pts-17); 4. Shreyas Bharadwaj (4 pts-16); 5. Meghana R Deshmukh (3.5 pts). Super League: 1. Girish A. Koushik; 2. K. Avinash; 3. P.S. Sachin.
