NEW DELHI, NOV. 7. Fortis Healthcare Limited's first hospital in Noida was inaugurated by the Union Defence Minister, Pranab Mukherjee, today. The state-of-the-art multi-speciality tertiary care hospital with super speciality in orthopaedics and neuro-sciences also offers specialised care in oncology, trauma care, gastro-intestinal diseases, renal sciences and obstetrics. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Mukherjee said healthcare was one of the most critical components for growth and development of any country. "India needs worlds-class healthcare establishments and the role of private hospitals like this will only enhance our capability to deliver health to the masses," he added. The Union Health Minister, A. Ramadoss, said the Government was seriously committed to raising the healthcare standards in India and make it accessible to every corner of the country.
