Zahira files complaint with NCW

NEW DELHI, NOV. 8. Zahira Sheikh, a key witness in the Best Bakery case, has filed a complaint with the National Commission for Minorities (NCM) against human rights activist Teesta Setalvad.

Ms. Sheikh told the Commission that she was feeling ``helpless'' because she belonged to a minority community, the NCM said today.

``We have received a complaint from Ms. Sheikh's lawyer against Ms. Setalvad. Our Secretariat will examine it and put it up before the Commission for any action if required,'' the NCM chief, Tarlochan Singh, told UNI here.

Ms. Sheikh's complaint repeated her accusations against Ms. Setalvad of pressuring her into making false statements regarding the Best Bakery case.
