MANGALORE, NOV. 8. Mazurulla Baig of CPC, Chitradurga, created a new State record in deadlift in the junior category at the 26th men, 11th women's State junior and masters powerlifting championships, which got underway here on Monday. He lifted 225kg to break the earlier record of 215kg set by Basavargi of Davangere in 1998. The results: Sub-junior: 52kg: 1. Manjunath (150kg squat, 77.5kg bench press, 170kg deadlift, total 397.5kg), 2. Ritesh Naveen D'Souza (130 + 77.5 + 165 = 372.5), 3. Hole Basappa (115 + 65 + 150 = 330); 56kg: 1. Imram K.S. (140 + 82.5 + 190 = 412.5), 2. Yogeshappa (160 + 80 + 170 = 410), 3. S.P. Bharath Kumar (110 + 65 + 150 = 325). Junior: 52kg: 1. Mazurulla Baig (115 + 97.5 + 225 = 477.5), 2. Roshan Babu M., (155 + 80 + 175 = 410), 3. Abdul Rub (130 + 70 + 200 = 400); 56kg: 1. Pratap M., (172.5 + 107.5 + 190 = 470), 2. S. Ramesh (172.5 + 85 + 197.5 = 455), 3. N. Raghavendra (120 + 67.5 + 155 = 342.5). Masters: +50: 52kg: 1. Sanjeeva M., (90 + 50 + 100 = 240); +60: 1. Vishwanath Padil (70 + 55 + 100 = 225), 2. Bhoja Salian (65 + 55 + 105 = 225); +40: 56kg: 1.
