Rangasamy visits

rain-hit areas

The Pondicherry Chief Minister, N. Rangasamy, visited the rain-affected areas in the Karaikal region of the Union Territory of Pondicherry today.

He inspected the submerged samba crop in the Kottucherry, Tirunallar and Karaikal areas.

Talking to presspersons later, Mr. Rangasamy said the samba crop, raised on 6,000 hectares in the Karaikal region had been affected and 400 houses in the low-level areas damaged in the rain.
