Rain in Tuticorin

TUTICORIN, NOV. 9 . After a gap of four days, rain lashed Tuticorin district last night.

Meanwhile, revenue sources said the district received 552.8 mm rainfall during the last 24 hours, ending at 8 a.m. on Tuesday.

The amounts of rain received in the district during the period are as follows: Kovilpatty — 7 mm, Ottapidaram — 18 mm, Sathankulam — 81.2 mm, Srivaikuntam — 32 mm, Tuticorin — 29.4 mm, Tiruchendur — 90 mm, Vilathikulam — 11.2 mm, Khayatar — 46 mm, Kulasekarapattinam — 49 mm, Kizh Arasadi — nil, Ettayapuram — 11 mm, Kadampur — 13 mm, Maniyachi — 40 mm, Vedantham — 16 mm, Soorankudi — 13 mm, Kadalkudi — 8.4 mm, Kazhukumalai — 19.2 mm and Veppar — 23.4 mm.
