Lower turnover on realignment of activities

CHENNAI,
NOV. 9.
Henkel Spic has achieved net sales of Rs. 56.91 crores in the third quarter ended September 30, 2004 against Rs. 97.87 crores in the same period year-ago. The drop in turnover was due to the realignment of activities of the company to focus on manufacturing. The net profit after tax was Rs. 89 lakhs against Rs. 1.53 crores.
In the nine months ended September 30, 2004 net sales stood at Rs. 252.98 crores against Rs. 260.03 crores while the profit after tax was Rs. 2.22 crores against Rs. 3.49 crores. However the consolidated results reflected growth in sales to Rs. 296.46 crores during the nine months under reference from Rs. 271.77 crores in the same period in the previous year.
