Andhra Pradesh triumphs

HYDERABAD, NOV. 9. Andhra Pradesh retained the Pramilakaki memorial trophy, for sub-junior National women's cricket championship, with an eight-wicket win over Mumbai in the final at Pravaranagar (Maharashtra) today, according to information received here.

Batting first, Mumbai was restricted to 108 for seven in 30 overs with Najuka (20) being the top-scorer. In reply, Andhra Pradesh romped home in 22.2 overs with Shwetha (66 not out) playing with authority.

Special prizes were given to Snehal Jadhav of Maharashtra (player of the tournament), M.Shalini of Andhra Pradesh (best batswoman), Pallavi Bharadwaj of Andhra Pradesh (best bowler), Anuja Patil of Mumbai (best fielder) and Deepika Pawar of Maharashtra (best wicketkeeper).
