Abhishek bowls fastest
HYDERABAD,
NOV. 9.
Abhishek Prakash emerged the fastest bowler clocking 129 kph in the two-day Scorpio Speedsters competitions for pace bowlers at Gymkhana Grounds edging out Farhad Shahnawaz.
After the first face-off, Abhishek and Farhad both clocked 129 kph. Then, in the tie-breaker where the two bowled four deliveries each, the latter dropped the speed to 125 kph and Abhishek sustained the earlier speed to clinch the honours.
In all 2577 aspiring bowlers tried out their hand in the interesting competitions during day time and under floodlights.
"It is a wonderful feeling to be the fastest bowler from Hyderabad and I will concentrate on sharpening my bowling skills before the grand final in Mumbai (where the winners of all 10 cities will compete for national honours)," he explained.
The winner was richer by Rs. 8,000 and the runner-up Rs. 2000.
