Double for Shankerji MHS

HYDERABAD, NOV. 9. Shankerji Memorial High School bagged a double, winning the girls' under-14 and 17 sepak takraw titles in the Hyderabad District School Games Federation sports meet here on Tuesday.

The results:

Sepak takraw: Girls under-17: final: Shankerji Memorial HS bt Govt High School No. I, Ameerpet, 21-7, 21-8. (Under-14, final): Shankerji Memorial HS bt Govt HS No. I, Ameerpet, 21-19, 21-17.

Sepak takraw: Boys under-17: final: Frontline PS, Goshamahal bt Nalanda PS, Mehdipatnam 21-15, 21-7. (Under-14, final): Vidya Mandir HS bt Jyothi Memorial HS, Mehdipatnam, 21-15, 21-17.

Carrom: Girls under-14: final: 1. K. Anusha (St. Francis), 2. Ayesha Siddiqui (Nagarjuna HS), 3. R. Swathi (Brilliant Grammar HS). (Under-17, final): 1. Latha Prashanthi (St. Joseph's), 2. R. Aparna (St. Andrews), 3. Sreya (Rosary Convent).

Carrom: Boys under-14: final: 1. K. Srinivas (Netaji PS), 2. K. Akash (Geetanjali), 3. T. Pratyush (Geetanjali). (Under-17, final): 1. U. Pavan Kumar (Vani HS), 2. D. Rahul (DRJC), 3. B. Raju Kumar (Mother's Integral School).
