CUDDAPAH, NOV. 9. The Joint Collector, G. Jayalakshmi, disbursed cheques for Rs. 1.42 crores to principals of 205 colleges on Tuesday towards scholarships to 5,668 SC students, at the Collectorate. She exhorted principals to summon students and disburse scholarships in time to avert problems on account of delay. Cheques were also given to principals of 110 junior colleges, 40 degree colleges and 55 professional colleges. The Deputy Director of Social Welfare, R. Venugopala Rao, the Joint Collector and Regional Joint Director of Higher Education, Satyanarayana, the Social Welfare officials -- M.V. Hariprasad, V. Prasada Rao and A.V. Narayana - were present.
