Forecast: Partly cloudy sky. Waltair, the maximum temperature was 30.3 degree Celsius and the minimum was 24.1 degree Celsius on Tuesday. for kids

The M.L.B. Trust School at East Point Colony will celebrate the Children's Day from November 11 by organising competitions for schoolchildren from class I to X. Competitions will be held in painting on the first day, cultural programmes and dance on the next day and essay-writing and elocution on November 13. Details can be had from the headmistress, B. MLA's birthday

Distribution of fruits, sweets and refreshments marked the birthday celebrations of Visakhapatnam-II MLA, Saripalli Ranga Raju. Snacks were provided to inmates of the School for Visually Impaired at Madhurawada, at the Mother Teresa Home at Jnanapuram, at the TB Hospital and at the Prema Samajam in Dabagardens.

New chairman

The former chairman of the Bar Council of India, D.V. Subba Rao, has been made the chairman of the Visakhapatnam Public Library Society, in lieu of Prof.B. Sarveswara Rao, who resigned on grounds of health.
