Rs. 4 lakhs stolen from house

HYDERABAD,
NOV. 9.
Thieves broke into the house of a doctor and took away Rs. 4 lakhs from the cupboard in Srinagar colony on Monday night.
A cardiologist, Sharat is working with Yashoda hospital. His maternal uncle kept the cash wrapped in a polythene bag in the cupboard.
The offenders went up the first floor, managed to remove the rubber strip pasted along the windowpanes and opened the door lock, the Panjagutta Detective Inspector, Pratap Reddy, said.
Dr. Sharat and his wife were sleeping in one bedroom on the first floor and his daughter in the other.
The thieves ransacked the third bedroom and took away the polythene bag in which the cash was kept. However, some jewellery kept in another shelf of the cupboard missed the attention of the offenders, the police said.
