Bomb hoax at

call centre

Around 1,200 employees working at HSBC call centre located on Road No. 10, Banjara Hills, were hurriedly sent out on Tuesday night after an anonymous person called up saying a bomb was planted inside the centre. Bomb disposal teams and dog squads were rushed to the place. It turned out to be a hoax call after the police conducted a thorough search. The caller initially asked the security guard, who received the call, if the latter knew Hindi and said a bomb would explode anytime.

Boy hit by car, dies

A six-year-old boy, Mohd. Maqbool, died on Monday after a car hit him near Road No. 12, Banjara Hills. A resident of Khajanagar, the victim was playing near his house when the car knocked him down around 2 p.m. He was shifted to Nizam's Institute of Medical Sciences where he died a couple of hours later while undergoing treatment.

Ornaments taken away

Gold ornaments weighing 19 tolas were stolen from a house at Bara Galli in Hussainialam police station area on Monday night. The house owner, Mohd. Hameed, and his family members went out to attend a function. They returned home on Tuesday morning only to find the almirah doors broke open and the ornaments stolen.
