HYDERABAD, NOV. 9. A Division Bench of the Andhra Pradesh High Court on Tuesday admitted a writ petition filed by the Centre for DNA Fingerprinting and Diagnostics (CDFD) challenging stringent conditions imposed for setting up its laboratory adjacent to Osmansagar lake. When the CDFD sought to set up this lab, the Andhra Pradesh Pollution Control Board imposed stringent conditions and made it clear that only dry experiments could be carried out in view of the fact that a drinking water lake was in the vicinity. The appellate authority confirmed the same. The CDFD challenging it and the Benchadmitted the writ petition.
