CHANDIGARH, NOV.10. The Haryana Government has decided to take stern action against touts and agents involved in illegal migration. An official spokesman said that in a communication received from the External Affairs Ministry, the State Government has been urged to take stern action against such elements. He said that it had been observed that many young men tried to migrate to countries in Europe and the U.S. by paying huge amounts of money to the touts who facilitated such journeys. There were many cases where the touts or agents had duped gullible persons who eventually landed up in foreign jails, the communication added.
