Leaders extend Deepavali greetings

Pondicherry, Nov. 10. The Lt. Governor, M.M. Lakhera, has greeted the people of Pondicherry on eve of Deepavali. In his message issued today, he said the message of the festival that "good shall triumph over evil" was universally applicable.

The Chief Minister, N. Rangasamy, who drew attention to the unity and peace enjoyed by Pondicherry, wished the people peace, prosperity and joy.

The Education Minister, K. Lakshminarayanan, the Agriculture Minister, A. Namassivayam, the Local Administration Minister, A. Elumalai, the Health Minister, E. Valsaraj, the Welfare Minister, M. Chandirakasu, the two MPs, M. Ramadass and V. Narayanasamy, and other leaders greeted the people.
