Temperature

MADURAI, NOV.10. The city today registered a maximum temperature of 30.8 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 23.0 degrees Celsius.

Water level

The level in the Periyar dam today stood at 127.80 feet with an inflow of 3813 cusecs and a discharge of 1575 cusecs.

The level in the Vaigai dam was 63.09 feet with an inflow of 3343 cusecs and a discharge 1730 cusecs.

The combined Periyar credit stood at 7568 mcft.

Mayiladumparai recorded the highest rainfall of 19 mm, followed by Peranai - 16 mm, Thaniyamangalam - 14.5 mm, Melur - 11 mm, Bodinayakanur - 7 mm, Uttamapalayam - 4 mm, Periyar Dam - 2 mm, Tekkadi - 2mm, Kallandiri - 2mm, Gudalur - 1mm, Aundipatti (Madurai district) - 1 mm and Sattayar - 1 mm.

Reservation counters to remain open

The computer reservation centres of the Madurai Division of the Southern Railway will function for a shift as on Sunday (between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. or 8 a.m. and 12 noon, as the case may be) on November 11 (Deepavali) and 15 (Ramzan), according to a release.
