BELGAUM, NOV. 12. Kadasiddeshwar Swamji (22) of Sri Kadasiddeshwar Math in Gokak town was found dead under suspicious circumstances early on Friday. According to the Gokak Police, he was suffering from an ailment for long. Since no medication helped cure him, he consumed poison on Thursday night. It was around 4 a.m. in the morning that the police received information. The swami died while being shifted to a government hospital. Meanwhile, there are strong rumours in the town about the death and people are suspicious as the swami was one of the two prospective seers to head the math. But the police have denied any foul play. A case has been registered.
