Loan for cooperative society
TIRUCHI: The Lalgudi Taluk Employees Cooperative Society sanctioned surety loan to the tune of Rs. 43 lakhs to its members during 2003-04 by fetching cash credit from the Tiruchi District Central Cooperative Bank. Speaking at the annual general body meeting of the society held here recently, its special officer, P. Nadanasigamani said the society accounted for 298 members with a share capital of Rs. 12.93 lakhs. The members loan outstanding by the end of last year stood at Rs. 58.63 lakhs. The society has been fetching profit since its inception 17 years ago and it managed a profit of Rs. 1.36 lakhs last fiscal. It provided 10 per cent interest for the thrift deposit of the members, he added. Our Special Correspondent
