Four VMC drivers suspended

VIJAYAWADA, NOV. 12. The Municipal Commissioner, V. Usha Rani, suspended four drivers working in vehicle depot of the Vijayawada Municipal Corporation, pending an inquiry following allegations of fuel embezzlement.

The drivers -- Durga Rao, Tata Rao, Venkateswara Rao and Yedukondalu -- were placed under suspension. The Chief Engineer was ordered to make an inquiry into the allegation of fuel theft by employees.
