HYDERABAD, NOV. 12. A meeting of important Hindu religious leaders is being held here tomorrow to discuss the course action in the wake of the arrest of the Kanchi swami Jayendra Saraswathi at Mahabubnagar on Thursday. The meeting will be held at the Pushpagari peetham office in Begumpet at around 12.30 p.m. after culmination of a rally proposed to be taken out by followers of the Kanchi seer from Sundarayya Vignana Kendram. It is being held under the aegis of Vidya Nrusimha Bharati Swami of Pushpagiri peetham. Swami Vijayendra Saraswathi, the junior seer of Kanchi Kamakoti Peetham, now camping in Mahabubnagar, is expected to attend the meeting. Swaroopanendra Swami of Sharada Peetham is also flying down here from Visakhapatnam to participate. A spokesman of the Peetham expressed strong resentment at the manner in which the Kanchi swami was reportedly woken up from sleep and whisked away.
