Militants kill woman in Rajouri

JAMMU, NOV. 13. Militants killed a Government school teacher by slitting her throat and beat up her husband at Leeran near Darhal in Rajouri district, police said today.

Three militants, led by the Hizb-ul-Mujahideen Pir Panjal Regiment Commander, Tahir Malik, entered the house of Mohammad Hussain (36) late at night, beat him up and his wife Hamida Begum (30), before killing her.

Ms. Hamida was recently transferred from a Government school at Leeran and posted near Rajouri town due to threats from militants. — UNI
