Vatal to seek funds to improve APMC

CHAMARAJANAGAR,
NOV. 14.
Vatal Nagaraj, president of the Kannada Chaluvali Vatal Paksha and MLA, has said that he will submit a proposal to the Chief Minister seeking Rs. 5 crores to develop the Chamarajanagar Agriculture Produce Marketing Society (APMC).
Speaking to presspersons after visiting the APMC here today, he said it could be used to market turmeric, onion, ragi and groundnut. Introducing cold storage and other facilities at the APMC to store agricultural produce was crucial, he added.
He said Rs. 10 lakhs would be provided to construct a shed at the APMC yard.
Mr. Nagaraj demanded that the Government offer good support price for crops.
