THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, NOV. 14. The police have taken all precautions to ensure that the hartal called by certain organisations on Monday does not affect normal life in the State, the Director General of Police said in a press release here today. The presence of the police will be there in all places in the State, he said. Anyone can approach the nearest police post for help. Police vehicles will be provided to the public in the event of emergencies. Protection will be provided to shop keepers and also vehicle users. Public transport system will operate with adequate police protection. Those indulging in violence will be strongly dealt with, he said.
