VISAKHAPATNAM, NOV. 14. A five-day children's film festival will be organised in the city from November 16. The district administration, the Education Department, the Municipal Corporation, VUDA and the Cine Exhibitors' Association will jointly organise the film festival through Bala Vikas Foundation. Films will be screened from 8 a.m. to 10.30 a.m. in 30 theatres in the city and at Gopalapatnam, Kancharapalem, Gajuwaka and Kurmannapalem. To encourage more children to see the films, the ticket price has been fixed at Rs. 5, according to the District Educational Officer, R. Surender Reddy. Arrangements are being made to enable 30,000 children see the films. The films to be screened are -- Hero, the Nandi award-winner for the best Children's film, `Hindusthan the Mother', `Balala Prapancham', `Superboy', `Little Hearts', `Dinosaur', etc. Headmasters of secondary schools should attend at the theatres assigned to them at the given time and also see to it that children view the film and leave in a disciplined manner, the DEO said.
