Government staff sore sover pay panel report
By Our Correspondent
BHIMAVARAM,
NOV. 15.
The State Government employees are planning to oppose the new Pay Revision Commission's recommendations on hike in basic pay. According to information, the PRC has reportedly recommended that the State Government employees be given only 10 per cent of hike in basic pay against their demand of 30 per cent. The employees are expressing anguish over the new PRC recommendations.
"We will lay a seize to the Collectorate in Eluru," if the PRC ignored our demand for 30 per cent of the hike in basic pay, some employees said.
In recent past, the district administration faced pensioners' ire for reportedly directing the officials concerned to deduct one day's salary from their pensions towards treatment of children with heart ailments.
Though the Government is yet to receive and study the PRC's report, and then would implement the recommendations only after convening a Cabinet meeting, the employees are raising a hue and cry.
