World Bank chief's visit
NEW DELHI,
NOV. 15.
The World Bank President, James D. Wolfensohn, is coming on a two-day visit to India on November 17 on an invitation from the Union Finance Minister, P. Chidambaram.
"Mr. Wolfensohn will meet government leaders, representatives of the civil society, business and community leaders during his stay,'' a statement said.
He would also visit World Bank-aided development projects on education, rural development and health in different parts of the National Capital and Uttar Pradesh. He will address a seminar on India's opportunities in a globalised world during his visit, his third since 1996.
