HYDERABAD, NOV. 15. Six months into his tenure, the Chief Minister, Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy, has decided to structure his daily 16-hour long official schedule more effectively. At a meeting with his aides in the Chief Minister's office, Dr. Reddy advised them to work out a calendar for the next six months with a focus on consolidating the achievements of the past six months. They should keep in mind that nearly 40 days would be taken up by the Assembly sittings. During the last few weeks, he had laid foundation stones for a number of irrigation projects. The emphasis during the next six months should be on visiting the sites of these projects and verifying the progress of work. Dr. Reddy pointed out that he was working from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. Two hours each should be earmarked for meetings with officers and the Chief Secretary, intelligence and press briefings, feedback from his Advisor and one hour for meeting Ministers, MPs and MLAs. The remaining time should be planned judiciously. The Chief Minister also stated that the Rajiv Palle Baata would come to an end by December after which he would undertake similar tours of urban areas.
