Dilly-dallying on Telangana will not do: Minister

By Our Staff Reporter

HYDERABAD, NOV. 16. The Minister for Civil Supplies, G. Vijayarama Rao, has said people will not forgive the Telangana Rashtra Samiti and the Congress if they fail to meet the aspirations of people of the region.

In an informal chat with reporters here on Tuesday, the Minister said a lot of hope had been generated among people on creation of a separate State. "If the Congress and the TRS fail to respect the sentiments of people, they will be taught a fitting lesson," he added.

Asked about the Prime Minister, Manmohan Singh's assertion that the Centre would abide by the recommendations of the Second States' Reorganisation Commission (SRC), provided it was constituted through consensus, Dr. Rao said the party would hold a thorough discussion on the issue.
