TIRUPATI, NOV. 16. The Chief Minister, Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, today said the Telugu Desam Party president, N. Chandrababu Naidu's campaign over the irrigation tenders issues was understandable given the rapid pace at which his Government was going to complete nearly 26 projects with a huge outlay of Rs. 46,000 crores. The TDP was jittery as its government had totally neglected the irrigation sector, he added. Speaking to mediapersons at Puttur, 40 km from here, Dr. Reddy sought to "expose'' the link between the TDP and a construction company which moved court against the tender system. He alleged that the company's owner had unsuccessfully contested on TDP ticket from a Lok Sabha constituency. The Chief Minister said he was informed that the court had reportedly dismissed the company's writ petition and added this should send across the message to Mr. Chandrababu Naidu that there was nothing hanky-panky in the finalisation of tenders. He asked the TDP leader to change his "mind-set.''
