KOLLAM, NOV. 16 . A man who entered the District Jail here today as a visitor with a packet of ganja was nabbed by the jail staff and handed over to the Kollam West police. The police arrested the person. The accused was identified as Shihabuddin (23). He will be produced before a court tomorrow. The jail authorities said that Shihabuddin was given permission to visit an under trail on remand, Krishnakumar. After obtaining clearance at the entrance, the jail superintendent made a random check on Shihabuddin and seized the packet of ganja. It is doubted that the packet could have been meant for one of those remanded and lodged in the jail. The Kollam West police are investigating.
