KOTTAYAM, NOV. 16. Jancy James today took over as Vice-Chancellor of Mahatma Gandhi University. Ms. James is the first woman vice chancellor in Kerala. She succeeds Cyriac Thomas whose tenure was over on Monday. Later, speaking to mediapersons, Ms. James said that in an institution like a university, the approach in resolving issues should be cultured and involve a vision. Ms. James, who was formerly director of the Centre for Comparative Literature, University of Kerala, is the sixth Vice-Chancellor of Mahatma Gandhi University.
