KOLKATA, NOV. 16. Defending champion Kingfisher East Bengal thrashed Tollygunge Agragami 4-0 to grab the lead in the title race for the Calcutta football league's Super Division title, as the local soccer championship restarted following more than a month's break on Tuesday. Brazilian recruit Paolo Da Silva showed great striking abilities and scored a hat-trick to realise the big win for East Bengal, which tallied 36 points from 16 matches to steal a march over the leader Mohun Bagan, by a point. Sasthi Duley struck the team's fourth goal in the injury time. In the next match on Thursday, Mohun Bagan will take on Ever Ready Association.
