VISAKHAPATNAM, NOV. 16. P.K. Kishore and Salim Khan prevailed over Naresh and Vijaykumar 10-7 in the 45 years category final of a doubles tournament, conducted by the Visakha Veterans Tennis Association on Monday. A. Prasanna Kumar and D.D. Rao won the 65 years title and V.S.N. Raju and S.K. Rednam claimed the 55 years event.
45 years: semifinals: Kishore/Salim Khan bt S.K. Rao/Bhadri 10-6, Naresh Kumar/Vijaykumar bt B.G. Reddy/S. Raju 10-4.
55 years: final: V.S.N. Raju/S.K. Rednam bt D.S.N. Raju/K.V. Appala Raju 6-4, 6-4. Semifinals: V.S.N. Raju/Rednam bt P.V.V. Subba Rao/R.T.R. Naidu 10-3, D.S.N. Raju/Appala Raju bt Sudhakar/Bhimarao 10-6.
65 years: final: Prasanna Kumar/D.D. Rao bt T.S.S.N. Raju/D.R.V. Prasad 6-1, 6-3. Semifinals: Prasanna Kumar/Rao bt K.V. Ramana Rao/Seshagiri Rao 10-2, Raju/Prasad bt K. Premchand/ B.R.K. Rao 10-8.
