The Dakshina Kannada unit of Karnataka Rajya Raitha Sangha (KRRS) has urged South Canara Central Cooperative Bank Ltd. to withdraw notices served on farmers in Sullia, Kundapur and other places for recovery of loans. The sangha has warned that farmers in Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts will launch an agitation if the bank does not withdraw the recovery notices. Blaming the governments for failing to help farmers get remunerative prices for their produce, he said the State Government was aware of the situation.
