GUNTUR, NOV. 16. The Guntur Superintendent of Police, Jitender, has appealed to political parties and other organisations not to resort to rasta roko, rail roko and dharna or take out processions without prior permission anywhere in the district. He said stringent action would be initiated against those who violated the provisions of the law in this regard. Mentioning the protest against the arrest of Sankaracharya and increase in petroleum prices, he said people had every right to protest, but not in unlawful ways.
