BANGALORE, NOV. 16. B.C. Gowrishankar, noted cinematographer and film director, died in a private hospital here on Tuesday night. He was 52. Mr. Gowrishankar shot to fame in the early 1980s for his "unorthodox" style as a cinematographer. He worked with many reputed directors and artistes from both Karnataka and other States. He directed three Kannada films Kendada Male, Yelu Suttina Kote and Aata Bombata. He won many awards. Kanchanaganga, starring Shivarajkumar, which is to be released, was his 99th film.
