Sir, With reference to the article, "Nujoma ready to step down after polls" (Nov. 15), I wish to point out an inaccuracy. The article said: "When South Africa switched peacefully to black majority rule under Nelson Mandela, Namibia followed suit." As a matter of fact, Namibia became independent on March 21, 1990, whereas South Africa under the leadership of former President Nelson Mandela obtained majority rule in 1994, which led to the end of the Apartheid era in South Africa.
