The rapid roving team consisting of agronomists and entomologists of the University of Agricultural Sciences, Dharwad, and officials of the Agriculture Department, who studied the pest attack on red gram in all the 10 taluks, in its report said that the pest attack on the red gram crop was more than the ETL in Chinamgera, Bandarwad, and Atnoor and less than the ETL in Gobbur, Choudapur, Bairamadigi and surrounding areas.
The farmers had been advised to go in for intensive ovicidal spraying to control the pest attack.
