Pondicherry
By Our Staff Reporter
PONDICHERRY, NOV. 18. The Dravida Peravai today demanded that the government take over the Aurobindo Ashram Trust and its subsidiaries. "The takeover has become important in the wake of controversies surrounding the Aurobindo Ashram Trust," the general secretary of the Dravida Peravai, N. Nandhivarman, said in a statement. Either the Centre or Pondicherry could take over, he suggested. He asked the Government to appoint a judicial commission or a special court to conduct an inquiry into the "irregularities, tax evasions and financial empire built all over the world without being accountable to anyone."
