Castelino triumphs

MADIKERI, NOV. 18. Third seed Rohan Castelino won the men's singles title, defeating fourth seed Ajith Wijetilak in the State badminton championships at the North Coorg club premises here on Thursday.

The results (all finals):

Men's singles: Rohan Castelino bt Ajith Wijetilak 15-6, conceded. Doubles: Wijetilak/Jose George bt Adip Shashank 15-12, 15-3. Women's singles: Aditi Biswas bt Varsha Belavadi 11-1, 11-7. Doubles: Varsha/Ashwini bt Aditi Biswas/Manavi Rao 15-12, 15-7. Mixed doubles: Jose George/Aditi Biswas bt Rohan Castelino/Varsha Belavadi 15-8, 15-6. Veterans singles: Vinay Siddaraj bt K.P. Vasant Kumar 0-15, 15-13, 17-14. Doubles: P.G. Chengappa/Vinay Siddaraj bt K.P. Vasant Kumar/Arun Poovaiah 15-3, 15-7.
