While the maximum and minimum temperatures at Safdarjung on Thursday were recorded at 29.9 degrees and 16.2 degrees Celsius respectively, Palam recorded a maximum of 29.8 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 17.5 degrees Celsius. Safdarjung recorded a maximum humidity of 86 per cent and a minimum of 28 per cent, while at Palam, the maximum and minimum humidity was 79 per cent and 25 per cent respectively.
Pension scheme approved
Working on a two-tier system, the new scheme would make it mandatory for the employees to contribute 10 per cent of their pay and dearness allowance towards the pension, while the Government would contribute 10 per cent. The fund collected would be managed by fund managers designated by the Government.
