NEW DELHI, NOV. 18. Five persons, including two eunuchs, have been arrested by the South-West Delhi police for allegedly killing a eunuch and then disposing of the body on October 16. According to the police, Jamat Ali reported to the Vasant Kunj police on November 15 that his brother Kajal, a eunuch, had been missing for the past one month. A case was registered and investigations taken up. Following inquiries, the police arrested five associates of Kajal -- Nasir, Payal, Ravi, Asgar and Nargis. At their instance, the Tata Sumo vehicle used in disposing of the body was also seized. Interrogation of the accused revealed that the accused had got fed up with Kajal's behaviour towards them. Kajal, the head of Vasant Kunj area, used to pocket about 90 per cent of the earnings. The accused had only 10 per cent to share among them. Also, Kajal was rude and used abusive language while talking to the accused, who were his juniors. He had also amassed a lot of immovable property and did not share the rent collected from the houses he owned. As per planning, the accused strangled Kajal at his residence at Harijan Basti in Masoodpur on the night of October 16. They then put the body in a Tata Sumo and took it to Garh Mukteshwar in Uttar Pradesh where they threw it into the canal. Initially, Jamat thought that Kajal had left to attend a function in U.P. However, when he did not return after a few days, Jamat enquired abut him from the accused. They told him that Kajal had gone to organise a major function in U.P. and would return soon. But, when Jamat got no news of his brother for a month, he decided to approach the police. Further investigations in the case are on.
