MADURAI, NOV.18. The second round of polio vaccination will be administered at 275 centres in the city on Sunday. The Mayor, C. Ramachandran, will inaugurate the drive by administering oral drops to children below five years at the West Gate Corporation Health Centre. A total of 1.20 lakh children will benefit, a corporation press release said. Special camps would function at the health centres, hospitals, dispensaries, noon-meal centres, schools, places of worship, bus stands and railway stations. The Southern Railways, Madurai division, has made elaborate arrangements for the immunisation programme. A statement from the division here today said drops would be administered at the railway hospital, SRWWO Matriculation School and the Old Railway Colony. Two booths have been established at the Madurai junction with the support of Corporation to administer drops to travelling children.
